THE CALL UGANDA YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAME

A pig for one Programe:

This is a programme aimed at first redeeming the souls of the Ugandan youth from illicit sex, drugs, gambling which is always a result of the poverty bug that has hit Uganda. We introduce them to Jesus and there after set them up into projects that will enhance their lives.

The projects we have so are in rearing of animals and piggery is such a sure way to make quick income. Its not as costly in terms of the time it takes for multiplication of the animals and the demand for the meat is so high.The youth form the bulk of the laborforce. Currently we have identified these costs.

Immediate costs:

Pigs: 1 pig costs 150,000($ 80)-A Pregnat pig has an advantage in that you don't wait for it to be impregnanted, but its cost is slightly higher than normal.(150$)

Land: ,8000,000 ( US $5000)-This is a large piece that will act as a farm

pig Sty construction, 4000,000($2500)

Later Costs:

A truck to work on the farm.(cost not known at the moment)

Projected Returns from Pigs :

After six months, they deliver. and in about 9 months, you can begin selling off the first batch.Each one will go for the same price as you bought it but the returns are on the numbers you sell from the many piglets one pig delivers. One pig can give birth to as many as 12 or even more. If you decide to slaughter them and sell the meat, it also has an advantage and 1 kilo would go for as much as 2$.
